About Blue Blairy Fitness

When you focus on improving the inside, everything else will fall into place.

My fitness journey has been a roller coaster of a ride, and began as early as my days of a small front desk gym employee in high school. Coming from years of yo-yo dieting, I was always looking for the quick fix and extreme diets. I have tried them all: Atkins, low fat, starvation, low carb, paleo; you name it, I have probably tried it. None of them ever got me to my goals physically or mentally, and if I got close, it was not sustainabl. Little did I know that the answer was simple and is now one of my biggest pieces of advice to all of my clients. You want to reach your goals? I recommend these three things: time, patience, and consistency. I build my coaching programs and base my own contest prep on these three pillars. I have found balance in my diet through the Flexible Dieting mindset and have never been happier or stronger in and out of the gym. Part of my coaching style is to focus on the mental progress as much as the physical. When you focus on improving the inside, everything else will fall into place.

For the past 10 years, fitness and healthy eating have been a part of my journey. I've participated in many physical fitness programs and have even taken a nutrition course. And yet there was still something missing in my journey. I knew that I needed accountability and an outlet to be able to share my thoughts, feelings and questions with a safe, trustworthy, encouraging individual. In October 2016, I sought out online coaching from Blair. She journeyed with me for 6 months, and what impressed me the most was the focus she had not just on physical changes but also on mental and emotional changes. During my time with Blair, I was even able to see the significant shift taking place in my thinking about my own body. Yes, I had macro & workout goals each week that I wanted to meet, but I also knew that in order for these physical changes to set in and matter, I had to begin allowing my thinking to change as well. This journey was not just about hitting a certain weight or seeing more physical definition on certain areas of my body. This journey was about identifying the negative thought patterns that influence how I view myself and treat myself and then doing something about them! Blair was there to coach and cheer lead me through it all. I promised her 100% honesty, and she promised 100% support. I am grateful for the 6 month journey. Now 2 months out, I feel freer to be me, to love my body regardless of what fleeting thought or feeling may pass through me, and to really listen to it, because my body knows best what it needs!

Since purchasing Blair's e-book, I've finally found freedom with food. Prior to this e-book, I was consumed with eating the perfect vegan diet, no oil, whole foods, etc. Now I know I can achieve food balance & a great figure, without denying myself my favorite foods or turning down social situations. The support that also comes along with the e-book is worth it's weight in gold. The Facebook group offers meal ideas, tips on how to work "naughty foods" into your diet, etc. It's so nice to feel others can relate to what I'm going through. Blair's book taught me that it's all about balance. She clearly has dealt with a lot of food related issues & has a great handle on how to live life while not having food controlling you. I recommend enough what a great value this purchase is. Thanks Blair!!!

I had a great experience working with Blair. It was nice to have a coach that didn't shy away from me being a vegan and gaining strength/muscle. Blair made it a bit easier to stay consistent and was there to answer questions or deal with my meltdowns. Every week I consistently made progress towards my goal and never really had to lower my calories dramatically. Normally I would have been eating like 1400 calories and running. No way could I have done that as consistently as I was able to do Blairs program. Definitely feel very close to my goals. I will keep Blair in mind with any major goals I have in the future! I would recommend her as a coach to anyone looking to improve their fitness levels!!

I recently read a quote that really struck a cord with me, it was "If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you'll never get it done. Make at least one definite move daily toward your goal."

It's true. I used to drive myself crazy wishing & dreaming of being lean, strong and fit, always unhappy with who and what I saw in the mirror, but never really doing anything about it. Granted long story short, over the past few years I've done it all, from lots of variety of workouts and exercising and yo-yo dieting to eating disorders. I'd see results for a while but nothing lasted and not because I wasn't happy with the results, I just wasn't happy as a person. I was a slave to a vicious cycle that never ended. It was until I hit road bottom in my personal life that I realized I started to focus on myself for once. And that's when I found IIFYM...

I can't begin to thank Blair enough for her knowledge and support. I finally have the missing piece I was looking for so long and that's peace. Even in a short time with her, I am learning to no longer be controlled by restrictions and a number. Fitness can be hard, nutrition can be hard, but fitness AND nutrition together is very hard, especially if you thought you've tried it all. I'm learning how my body works and what fuel it truly needs to function properly all while I get to enjoy foods before I wouldn't touch with a 10' foot pole (until I did and I would go COMPLETELY over board. Ex: Eating a whole package of Oreos in a sitting or a huge jar of PB in two days). I've had "treats" every day without any guilt and seeing progress that might seem slower then past results but I know that these results are lasting because I'm enjoying myself for once and know I can actually keep this LIFESTYLE up. Honestly with IIFYM, I find myself attracted to more nutrients dense food for most of my meals, knowing that they are working with my body to help me reach my goals. However, nothing taste better then eating a couple of Oreos or some frozen yogurt and knowing, "I'll be ok! This food by one means define me as a person and as long as it's in moderation, I've earned this treat with my work in the gym and it's actually helps me keep the gains train running." I actually enjoy treats more now instead of punishing myself, and that in a huge relief. That's why this will last. Slow & steady, but here to stay!

Anyone looking for a trainer and/or considering IIFYM, Blair knows her stuff and she's fun to work with on your goals all while she's completely honest and open with you on her fitness and nutrition journey! Don't think, make your move and just do and not only see results, but feel results too!

Ommmgawwwsh I am so happy that I get to share this testimonial.

Blair has been the only coach that I have ever had and it was an amazing experience. She has taught me so much about body building - exercise, correct form, reps, strategy, metabolism, supplements, flexible dieting, recipes, and on and on.

While I could have easily learned these things from a book, or You Tube, or anyone online, I am so happy that I got the up close and personal attention I needed to start my journey. She absolutely knows her stuff, however she allows you to be you and decide what is best for you and your body. She developed a personal plan for ME and gently encouraged me through the whole process. Don’t get me wrong, SHE IS TOUGH. However, she is sensible. She pushes you when you can no longer push yourself and she never expects anything from anyone that she is not willing to give herself.

One of my favorite parts of her coaching is that she is on her journey right beside you. Not only do you see changes in you, you get to see the changes in her at the same time. Blair is serious, she is the most dedicated person I know to her fitness and she walks the walk.

I absolutely recommend her as a coach and I am truly grateful that I got the chance to learn from someone so genuinely dedicated to this awesome world of body building and I will forever be TEAM BLAIR!!

I don't think there are words to express how thankful I am to have worked with you the past 3 months. You have helped me change my life in so many ways. I found support, inspiration, and my best self. If ever I was doubting myself, Blair was always just a text away to help me overcome any obstacle—physically, mentally, and emotionally. I now feel like I have most, if not all, the resources I need to maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle and it is all thanks to her. I finally found my worth and that's something no one can take away from me. I'm so appreciative to Blair and wouldn't trade my experience for the world.

It's not hard for me to enjoy ice cream, treats, or going out to eat so I really don't feel like I'm "dieting." I still have SO much natural energy and my mom told me she can tell a difference the last few weeks with me being a much more joyful person to be around so that is AWESOME!! I'm at a good place. Coming to you for coaching has lifting so much stress off of me. Trying to make it there myself and failing over and over again really took a toll on me! I am happy to be eating much more, feeling better, and slowly dropping weight! Even if I feel "fluff" right now I'm happy with myself and I haven't felt that way in a really long time.. So many more changes in addition to physically.. I'm happy where I am right now!

I love to eat, but I also have always had the mentality that food is the enemy. I tried so many diets, and many of them worked and quickly, but only for the short term. When I would eat food I considered to be bad I would completely fall off the band wagon and binge. That was my cycle, diet then binge. I have never had a problem with working out and I truly enjoy the gym, but the way I ate was holding me back. It wasn't really until I began to use Blair to help me with my nutrition that I changed my view on food. Her approach to flexible dieting has truly helped me. I still try to eat clean, but I allow my self things like chocolate and ice cream, but I make sure it fits in with my daily macronutrients. My progress has been slow and steady, but it is the only thing that I have found to be sustainable. Food is no longer the enemy, but a way to fuel my body and also something I can enjoy at the same time.

I don't know how to put into words what you have helped me achieve. This entire process far exceeded my expectations. I have never been one to "need" a "workout partner" not because I was confident that I could do it all on my own but because I was afraid to share myself at any level out of fear of being judged and untimely limited myself. Could I have achieved similar results with other programs, perhaps but I am SO grateful that our paths crossed & I didn't have to. What you have helped me create for myself is a more well balanced appreciation for the fuel in which I consume to nourish and love my body with. I know now that you can eat pretty much anything you choose within moderation and good measure and still be on track for the goals you have. Being physically healthy, fit and strong isn't about starvation and self loathing, it's about nourishment and self love. I have long struggled with my outer shell, knowing that I am a good person with a solid faith and love but doubtful of being "good enough" on a physical level. This program has helped me put my inner and outer closer to one. With the tools that you have helped achieve I now can grow even further with my goals and potentially influence someone else to achieve their goals with positive experiences allowing them to pay it forward as well.

My relationship with food hasn't always been a healthy one ... I weighed ninety eight pounds once - that wasn't pretty on my five foot six frame ... I have also been pushing two hundred pounds. I eat differently when I am stressed. I know a lot of people that overeat when they have life struggles but I am just the opposite. I don't eat; I can't eat; I have no appetite. What I didn't realize at these low points in my life is that depriving my body of nutrients was making things worse. I could see how bad my body looked in the mirror what I couldn't see in the mirror was how hard it was on my mind. My journey to get heathy started there I wanted my mind to be strong and I knew if that happened it would reflect directly on my body. I count my macros now so that on the days that I don't want to eat I do it anyway. And on the days that I want to eat everything I can keep it reigned in. For the health of my body on a whole different level. I love that I know what to eat to fuel my workouts. I love that I am a healthy body weight. I love that I can see my muscles. I love putting on my skinny jeans. I love knowing that my mind and body have everything that I need to cope with the stresses in life that we all have to endure and that I have all the tools and knowledge to keep rolling with the punches. I am so blessed to have people like Blair to help me in this journey of always trying to become a better version of myself.

I just wanted to tell you thanks for all the help getting my macros figured out! Now I know how much to eat to power through my days and not feel like I'm dragging! I think I'm at the stage where I can take what you've taught me and continue to use it in the future on my own😃. Thanks again for your help!

I can not thank Blair of BlueBlairy Fitness enough for all the amazing changes she has helped me make in my life! When I hired her, I did so with the hope that she would show me how to eat and how to train so that I could attain a leaner, stronger, body.  I don't even know how to explain how much more I got out of our time together. YES, I am so much stronger and leaner, but NO I am not starving or depriving myself of anything!

I never realized how healthy my relationship with food could be. I no longer have the mindset of "good food" vs. "bad food". I no longer feel like I have to nearly starve myself to be thin. And this is huge on so many levels. First off, I don't even feel the need to be 'thin' anymore. I am healthy, my body looks healthy (and dare I say fit and strong) and my food intake is very satisfying. This is where my body likes to be and I am comfortable with this body as it is. This is the best gift anyone could have given me, and Blair made it possible. I love my body as is yet still strive to improve every day. My physique is not 'perfect' and it never will be, but I don't want to have a perfect physique. With Blair's coaching I have learned balance. I have learned how much time I like to spend training a week and what foods work for me and which don't. I've learned how to feed my body with the foods I like to optimize my performance and I am not deprived of anything.

And can we talk about the energy?  Like, unbelievable energy. Like, how did I function on such low energy all those years? I never realized I could feel this good, and it's all from the foods I eat, no pills, no supplements, no caffeine or sugar highs and crashes. I really can not stress how freaking awesome I feel. As I mom, I had resigned myself to the fact that I'd be tired and worn out the rest of my life since kids seem to siphon all their parents' energy, lol. But even as soon as the first week with Blair, my energy has been through the roof, even after a hard training session!

The personalization and attention Blair has shown me, is incredible. The coaching is spot on and solid and she is extremely knowledgeable about nutrition and fitness, but the care and compassion Blair shares with her clients far extends what I would expect from a coach. She is more than just a 'coach'; she is a friend, a motivator, a mentor, a listening ear, and is there for you every step of the way with patience and compassion. If you truly listen to her guidance and advice, I promise you will see the most beautiful changes in your body, mind, and soul.

I have LOVED working with you and will more than likely enlist your expertise in the near future. You not only got me super motivated to work out and lift again, you've completely changed the way I think about and deal with food. Which is quite awesome. It's incredible how far I've come in less than a year - physically and especially mentally. I am SO glad I got to know you and work with you. You've changed my life!

I realized that I just feel really great in my body right now.  I don't feel like I'm at war with it; and I am also much more in touch with what it's asking of me and what it needs.  So I am beyond stoked about that!

Thank you so much for 'fixing' me and for showing me that I am strong mentally and physically. Without you my mentality would still be in such an awful place. Thank you for helping me fall in love with lifting, and being a strong bad ass! Almost every day I do something and think "I would't have been able to lift that on my own before!" That is SUCH A COOL FEELING! It's crazy to look back at when I first started lifting and I was squatting around 100 lbs, benching 50, and deadlifting 80. Last week my squat was 140, bench was 85, and deadlift was 155. That's crazy to me! I can pick up 155lbs straight off the ground 6 times in a row! Thank you for helping me learn to love my body for what it can do and not just because of how it looks. I know at different points in my life my body is going to change and being able to sit back and say "Kayla look what your body can DO" is so powerful because no one is going to be super lean and fit forever. I don't think I've ever seen a grandma or grandpa out in the world looking like they have a 30 year old body haha probably because at a certain point that just really doesn't matter anymore. I seriously can't thank you enough. You have given me a tool box full of tools that I can and will use. I feel like a completely different person compared to when I started with you and I am so glad that I took the jump and decided to work with you. You have changed my life forever!

With Thanksgiving being right around the corner I am so thankful to be one of Blue Blairy Fitness. My name is Natalie. I started with Blair in November 2015 by coming across her 10,000 calorie challenge on YouTube. Before becoming a client I was stuck at a front in the road on my fitness journey. A good amount of people hire a fitness coach to loose weight and inches off their waist line but for me that was not the case. After leaning out for nine months I needed help with bulking. I was already on board with lifting heavy but Blair introduced me to flexible dieting along with counting macros.  This nutriton was totally new to me. I had been told by many and believed this myself that you have to eat clean one hundred percent of the time. If you consume any type of dessert then your CHEATING!!! Having this   mindset for led me down a path of eating clean all the time along cardio 7 days a week and not lifting very much. If I ate anything non clean it would turn into a binge fest followed by major guilt. Blair is different from other coaches I have seen in the past online. She  just doesn't focus on the physical side of fitness she focuses on the mental side as well. I have learned that this is so important to have with fitness.  I have had several ups and downs with myself this year along with life events. This could have caused me to quit my fitness journey but I kept going. Blair has been with me on this crazy ride. I mentally and physically do not recognize the person I was in November 2015. Clothing size and numbers on the scale mattered to me. Blair has helped me with the confidence and the mindset of not giving an F what the number on the scale is or what clothing size I am. Having muscle, making gains, and hitting PR'S are what matter to me. Being able to eat foods I want by fitting it in my macros and having no guilt is the best feeling ever. I am turning 30 in 6 months and I am comfortable with myself now way more than I ever have been. I love to squat, deadlifting and lift. This journey isn't going to happen over night for me but I am glad that I have Blair with me along the way. In this past year I have bulked, leaned out, maintained and now are back to bulking more muscle. I can't wait to see where I will be next year. If your looking to look guidance on whatever your fitness goals are Blair is the coach for you. There are not enough words to describe how great she is. I am truly thankful and so proud  to have Blair Wyatt as my coach!!
